Afraid? Let God be Your Strength!

I set my timer on my phone this evening for ten minutes, counting on God to speak. Here is what He spoke to me, and I pray you will be blessed reading it.

I am your guard(a). I know the way. Lie down in green pastures. I will lead you beside quiet waters (1). For my yoke is easy and my burden light (2). No, that doesn’t mean life will be easy. You read today what Paul said – his imprisonment was actually a blessing in disguise because he was able to teach the guards about Me, and his imprisonment gave boldness to others who had been afraid to preach the word (3).

The thing about fear is that it makes whatever you’re afraid of feel so insurmountable – like a mountain that you could never climb- or move (4).

But when you actually stare that thing in the face – the circumstance, the job, the opportunity, the task, even torture you may endure, you will discover My strength as it rises up within you.

  • You can do all things through Christ you gives you strength.(5)
  • I am with you to the end of the age. (6)
  • It is Me who arms you with strength (7)
  • Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (8)
  • And don’t forget too — it’s My joy that gives you strength (9)
  • The Lord is your strength. (10)
  • I will give you all you need (11)

It’s my desire to bless you (12) and arm you with strength (13). But what good is strength without a trial?

James 1:2-3
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

Matthew 10:19
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.

Phew!!! Bless the Lord! What a great message! Don’t let your fears stop you! There is nothing that fear can do to you if you trust Him. The Lord will provide — whether it is strength you need or courage or words to speak the truth. May He bless you, and may you be like the woman in Proverbs 31, of whom it was said, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future” (Proverbs 31:25.)

I just want to say that I was amazed and so blessed by all the words of the Lord tonight. It was as though He was simply speaking Scripture to me. All of the references are listed below. Wow. I love Him so much. He can speak in so many ways. Why not give Him a listen today? May He give you eyes to see and ears to hear (Matthew 13:16).
