Now is the Time!

Hi readers ūüôā At the beginning of the year, I decided I was going to a 30 before 30 challenge. Yes – I turn 30 this year! One of my¬†challenges was to write 30 blog posts in March. HA- I just realized March actually has 31 days! Anyway, I’ve been praying recently and have a strong sense that¬†now is the time to blog again, to start writing again, to share myself again, to write and share about the Word of […]

Hiding

This week I’ve wanted to run away from life. To hide in the shadow of His wings.¬†Please pray for my family. Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. I really need some hope. Praise God for we know that all things work together for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28).

Conflicting Opinions

Lately¬†I’ve been wrestling with some child rearing opinions. One place says, “Do this! It works!” Another source says, “Oh no! Absolutely NEVER do that to your child!! It might “work” but it will be damaging to their spirit and break their will! It will ruin them!”¬† So whose opinion¬†is the “right one”? They sure make¬†it sound like if I decide wrong then¬†I¬†can really hurt my¬†child in the long run! FEAR rules in this kind of warning!!!¬† —— Turns out there […]

Stay in the Stillness

Last night I was at a Bible study. I love that this particular Bible study has a time slot of silence where we can sit with the Lord and pray and ask Him to speak. Last night during the quiet I asked the Lord to speak. He gave me a vision of a tornado, with me in the center, in the quiet stillness, the “eye” of the storm. I heard Him say, “Peace, peace, daughter. As the storm whirls, stay […]

Goooood morning!

I flipped to Proverbs this morning and saw this verse: Proverbs 29:18b “But wise men turn away anger.” (NASB) Have you ever considered that you can¬†turn away anger?¬†I can¬†choose whether I’m going to say yes or no to being angry! By God’s grace, I will choose to forgive and turn away anger. I have this little image in my mind after reading this verse. Anger is ringing my doorbell. I get to the door and see that it’s him, and […]

Romans 8:3-4

While reading the Word this evening, these words struck me as amazing. What a gracious God, to fulfill the requirement of the Law for us. “For¬†what the Law could not do,¬†weak as it was through the flesh, God¬†did: sending His own Son in¬†the likeness of ¬†sinful flesh and¬†as an offering¬†for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,¬†so that the¬†requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who¬†do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

Faith & Love & Works

I spent some time with the Lord the other day, and He sure had a lot to say! This is some of what I recorded as I spent time in His presence. It’s amazing how He speaks when we listen. ¬†I would love to hear your thoughts. What is in bold is what I heard Him speak. Some of this might be a little…haphazard, but I hope you can understand it! ūüôā ‚ÄúI want you to give of yourself and […]

Thoughts on Faith part 2!

Faith is evidence that what you believe will happen. Whoa. “Now faith is the¬†assurance of¬†things¬†hoped for, the¬†conviction of¬†things not seen.” NASB Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” NLT Hebrews 11:1 Faith assures us, it’s like proof that what we don’t see is real/will happen. Like a special knowledge paired with belief. Hebrews 4:2¬†‚ÄúFor indeed we have had good news preached to us, just […]
